Registered Dietitian · OPDQ Member · PhD in Dietetics, Université de Montréal
Marie Lefebvre is a Registered Dietitian (RD) and a proud member of l'Ordre Professionnel des Diététistes du Québec (OPDQ). Her journey into nutrition was anything but conventional — it began with a deep-rooted passion for understanding human behaviour. After completing her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the Université de Montréal, Marie worked as a Specialized Educator supporting individuals with mental health challenges. It was through this direct, compassionate work that she first encountered the profound connection between food and wellbeing — noticing how many of her clients were quietly struggling with eating disorders.
That observation became a turning point. Marie went on to pursue her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences at the Université Laval, where her academic interests broadened to include mindful eating, clinical nutrition, and sports dietetics. Her appreciation for the richness of diverse culinary traditions around the world further deepened her understanding of the cultural dimensions of food and its vital role in a person's quality of life.
Building on her undergraduate foundation, Marie completed a Master's degree in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences, during which her research examined nutritional deficiencies during pregnancy and their effects on infant behaviour and auditory development. This work solidified her focus on maternal and early-life nutrition — a thread that continues through her doctoral studies. Marie holds a PhD in Dietetics and Human Nutrition from Université de Montréal, where her research centred on infant vitamin D status and its implications for early health outcomes.
Alongside her research, Marie served as a Teaching Assistant at Université de Montréal and taught Sports Nutrition at the Institut de Formation en Santé in Montréal. She has also worked as a clinical Dietitian at Élan Santé Clinique in Montréal, QC — collaborating closely with personal trainers to deliver integrated, results-driven support to her clients.
During her graduate studies, Marie founded Santé NutriClinic — a private nutritional and dietetic practice built on the belief that every person deserves personalised, evidence-based guidance without judgment. The practice offers online consultations across Canada, serving clients with a wide range of goals: from managing eating disorders and weight, to navigating pregnancy nutrition and optimising athletic performance.
Food is not a problem to be solved — it is a relationship to be cultivated. Marie believes that lasting change begins when clients learn to listen to their bodies with curiosity rather than judgment, and when eating becomes a source of genuine nourishment rather than anxiety.
Every recommendation Marie offers is grounded in current nutritional science and tailored to the individual. Effective dietetics is not about rigid rules; it is about translating research into practical, sustainable strategies that fit seamlessly into each person's real life.
Nutrition does not exist in isolation. Drawing on her background in psychology, clinical research, and multidisciplinary care, Marie addresses the physical, emotional, and cultural dimensions of each client's relationship with food — because true health encompasses all of them.
